Plebeius admetus (Esper, [1783])
Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Agrodiaetus admetus
Range: Hungary, Balkan Peninsula, Asia Minor.
Distribution in Bulgaria: Local, occurs almost entirely S of Stara Planina range mostly in river gorges and on low mountain slopes between 200 and ca. 1000 m a.s.l.
Habitat: Dry, hot, rocky slopes and glades, most abundant in calcareous terrain.
Bionomics: One generation, late June-August. Larval host-plant: Onobrychis (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
Conservation status: A local, typically scarce species with relatively restricted range in Bulgaria, although not directly threatened. IUCN category: Lower risk, near threatened.
