Lycaena tityrus (Poda, 1761)
Range: S and C Europe, W and C Asia.
Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread from sea level to ca. 1700 m a.s.l.
Habitat: Diverse flowery, grassy, bushy and/or rocky places, forest glades, roads, clearings, margins, river valleys etc.
Bionomics: Two to three generations from April to October. Larval host-plants: various Rumex (Polygonaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
