? Boloria titania (Esper, [1793])
Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Clossiana titania
Range: Mountains of C and partly S Europe; from the Baltic republics, S Finland and E Europe across Siberia to Mongolia and the Amur region. In the Balkans recorded with certainty only from former Yugoslavia.
There are two males of this species in the collection of the Institute of Zoology - Sofia supposedly collected in Pirin (chalet Gotse Deltchev, 1900m) and Rila (chalet Makedonia ). On the basis of these the species was only recently reported as new to the country (Slivov & Abadjiev 1999a). The locality data are however doubtful and require confirmation (Kolev 2002a).
