Plebeius argyrognomon (Bergsträsser, 1779)
Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Plebejus argyrognomon
Systematics: In older Bulgarian sources this species has been confused with Plebeius idas. It has since been established that these are two distinct species.
Range: C and E Europe, W and C Asia.
Distribution in Bulgaria: Lowlands and lower mountain slopes up to ca. 1200 m a.s.l. (observed S. Beshkov, in Abadjiev 2001).
Habitat: Warm grassy bushy places.
Bionomics: Two generations from May till July. Larval host-plants: Coronilla varia and Astragalus glycyphyllos (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
Conservation status: Local but widespread, apparently not threatened. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
