Pararge aegeria (Linnaeus, 1758)
Range: N Africa, Europe E to Ural, Turkey, the Near East.
Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread up to 1700 m a.s.l.
Habitat: Bushy or forested places.
Bionomics: Two generations from April till October. Larval host-plants: grasses (Poaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
Conservation status: Widespread and common. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
